PRESENTATION

At five hundred meters above sea level, the Šmica campground spreads among meadows and forest on the banks of the wild Savinja River not far from the beautiful alpine valley of Logarska dolina. It is an ideal starting point for mountaineering and water sports.

Tents and holiday trailers can be rented at the campground, and they also have kayaks and rafts for organizing guided descents of the Savinja, in which it is also possible to swim and fish. A visit to the source of the river at Rinka Falls in the Logarska dolina valley is interesting, and in addition to other natural gems such as the Robanov kot and Matkov kot valleys and the Snežna jama cave, this region offers numerous opportunities for sport and recreation such as hiking, mountaineering, alpine climbing, bicycling, paragliding, horseback riding, rafting, and kayaking; there are two clay tennis courts in the campground.

Mountaineers will especially enjoy hiking on Mount Raduha, Mount Ojstrica, Mount Korošica, and the many other peaks in the area.
